Abstract
There were assigned different goals for this thesis. The rentability level of lift servicing in the residential market in Moscow is analysed. Another goal is studying and evaluating possible strategies and the conditions for a market establishment. The method of the study is primarily based upon interviews of specialists in the branch. Literature was found very scarcely. The thesis carries out a study ofthe structures, the content and the participants of the lift market in Moscow, and the principals of its functioning. With the aid of a few economical models the financial potential of the market of lift servicing is verified. Upon completion of the thesis I came to the conclusion: the service of lifts in the residential market is profitable, although there remain quite a few unsolved questions. Specific trouble occurs in connection with the problem of non-payments. The thesis presents the working mechanism of the lift servicing market, of its participants and of their roles. The study includes propositions of possible actions, related to a market entrance in lift servicing. It is worthwhile noting, that the political instability must be accounted for, when deciding for or against an active participation in servicing lifts in the residential sector in Moscow.
