Abstract
Nykyinen rakentamisen kompleksisuus hankkeen toteutusvaiheessa on kasvanut viime vuosikymmenen aikana. Kompleksisuus johtaa tiukkenevista aikatauluista, rakennushankkeen osapuolien määrän kasvusta ja uudenlaisesta rakentamisen trendistä, jossa pyritään huomioimaan käyttäjän tarpeet entistä paremmin toteutusvaiheessa. Tämän kompleksisuuden myötä on päädytty tilanteeseen, jossa voidaan huomata perinteisen rakentamiskulttuurin kangistavan koko rakentamisen toteutusvaihetta ja kykyä reagoida muutoksiin. Tämän työn tarkoituksena on tutkia nykyisen sähköurakoinnin toimintatapoja sekä kehittää tarpeen tullen ehdotuksia ja ratkaisuja nykyisten toimintatapojen parantamiseksi. Sähköurakoinnin vähäisen akateemisen kirjallisuuden myötä työssä on päädytty tutki-maan työtä haastattelututkimuksen avulla.

The complexity of the modern building construction during the phase of implementation has increased during the last decade. The complexity drives from increasingly tighten building schedules, the increasing amount of different parties in the implementation and from the new trend in construction where the building’s end user’s needs are paid more attention than earlier during the implementation phase. Because of this complexity, a situation has developed where the traditional building construction and methods of operation stiffens the whole implementation phase of building and the ability to react to changes. The purpose of this paper is to study the methods of operation used in electrical construction and to develop proposals and solutions to evolve the currently used methods of operation. Because of the low level of written academic writing regarding electrical construction, the research in this paper has been conducted by an interview study. The people chosen for the interviews are from the field of building and in contact with electrical construction. The proposals and the magnitude of the proposals for improving the methods presented in this paper differ from the possible outlined proposals during the start of this work. During the progress of the work it cleared out that changing the used methods of operations in nowadays building construction, like changes in the offer competition and modification of the building contacts. Most of the proposals presented in this paper are based on the interview study and the perspective gained from it where the change proposals are not just party specific but involve the whole field of electrical construction.
