Abstract
We use state-of-the-art processing parameters to produce an aluminium matrix composite with 30 µm micro-SiC particles together with 50 nm nano-Al2O3 particles. Both reinforcements have been used separately before, but we study whether or not additional benefits can be achieved by using different sized reinforcements in the same composite.Description
