Abstract

Agile is a well-used organization model, especially in information systems companies. All kinds of companies have been interested in it for years because it suits well in fast-changing circumstances. Even if, it was implemented only for small companies, there are a lot of big companies, which have already adopted large-scale agile in their organizations. However, there are a lot of challenges in adapting and maintaining agile methods, and still, companies should be as productive as possible. This thesis introduces the most crucial challenges of effectiveness in large-scale agile organizations based on a literature review. It also reviews the managemental success factors of large-scale agile. At first, this thesis discusses the large-scale agile adaptation process and its main attributes. The rest of the challenges and the success factors have been divided into three categories, which are organization structure, process, and culture. A discussion and conclusion chapter includes a table, which summarizes the findings.
