AbstractTo compose is an action by which one selects, arranges and puts together a series of parts that give sense to a particular object. In space, composition is performed by positioning a set of objects in a way that creates relations of distance between them. As a cornerstone in the construction of space, composition becomes fundamental when it is understood as one that is not only performed on a grammatical level (color, shape and size), but one that is performed also over the meaning of space itself, and when it does, creates new visions of space. But, is it possible to perform this action not only in objects, but through them? Framed in the methodology of Theory in Practice, this work aims to understand the concept of curation as one that can be performed through artifacts by creating new visual relations in space. This is achieved by exploring the idea that artifacts can become edges of the space where they are located, and this situation enables space to create new ways of seeing. As a result, a series of artifacts to see with were designed. They act like edges of the space where they are located, creating agency in a continuous compositional process by the one who sees. Consequently, the ultimate intention is not only to understand the relevance of how the perceptual and compositional process of sight occurs -how we see, but to validate the role of the designer, not as author, but as enabler of relations through its work, and of its artifacts, as mediators of our own experience in space.
