Abstract
International property investment stays nowadays one of the key tools of portfolio diversification. Russian real estate market continues to attract investments across the office, retail, industrial and leisure sectors. Nowadays, when commercial real estate market in the capital of Russia is getting into over occupying, the focus of investors is being shifted to regions, i.e. Saint-Petersburg. This work is focused on retail market in Saint-Petersburg, its characters, size, as well as legislation issues and international transaction options. Nowadays in Saint-Petersburg are opened about 200 shopping centres. For this thesis, however, just 65 of them had been chosen, as far the work is focused on the biggest ones. Tenant mix, as well as facilities and size of malls have been changed significantly over past few years. Good management and market monitoring are necessary measures to be competitive.Description
