Abstract
This thesis investigates the intricate relationship between climate change and poverty in developing nations, emphasizing the role of climate adaptation strategies in poverty reduction. It presents a comprehensive review of empirical evidence, illustrating how climate change disproportionately affects the poor in these regions, with significant impacts on agriculture, health, and due to natural disasters. The study explores pro-poor climate adaptation methods, including environmental technologies, governmental policies, and innovative financial systems, and assesses their potential in mitigating poverty. The findings highlight the necessity of integrating climate adaptation into poverty reduction strategies, underscoring the critical link between environmental sustainability and economic development in vulnerable communities. The thesis contributes to a deeper understanding of the climate-poverty nexus.Description
