Abstract
I research the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on venture capital (VC) financing across Nordic countries, using a dataset of 9,114 funding rounds from 2013 to 2022. By conducting several regression and univariate analyses, I find that the average VC funding amount increased by 40% during the pandemic period. Even though VC financing declined due to the immediate effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, VC funding rebounded rapidly, leading to an all-time high in VC funding activity in 2021.Description
