Abstract

"Colours of Kumasi" portrays our holistic experience of designing new green imaginaries for Kumasi, Ghana. Through exploration of data collection methods, vision definition, and concept innovation, this colourful book embodies a transformative approach to bringing back green value and livability to urban cities. Our goal is to translate the vibrant palette of life in Kumasi—its textures, traces, and rhythms—and devise strategies for empowering local communities. We have sketched hypotheses that meet urban planning, architecture, and collaborative design to facilitate the regreening of the city and restore its historical garden brilliance.
