Abstract
Supply chains have become more and more complex as companies aim to globalize their operations. Companies must learn to prepare for possible disruptions in supply chains. Supply chain risk management is a process which helps companies build their supply chains so that they are as well protected as possible from various distractions. Even though companies have been bettering their operations COVID-19 made it clear that global supply chains are still vulnerable to geopolitical changes. Right when global supply chains started to heal from the damages of COVID-19 a new geopolitical event took place in Ukraine that once again startled the global supply chain field. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the impacts of this geopolitical event on supply chains. Since it is a relatively recent event, the scientific literature on the subject is limited, so the thesis contains a review based on news articles to support the literature review.Description
