Abstract

On-street parking is a complex problem, which needs to consider many practical factors comprehensively. Up to now, the traffic management departments of governments in various countries have not put forward a clear standard for judging whether road parking should be set on a road, but rely entirely on the experience of traffic planners to make decisions. This research attempts to propose a comprehensive evaluation method for road parking settings, combining the human guide method with the data-driven method. Based on the case study and data analysis of Chaoyang District in Beijing, an evaluation mechanism suitable for local on-street parking planning is proposed by using scenario analysis and machine learning methods.
