Abstract
This thesis investigates the use of microwave cavities for measurements on quantum materials, specifically focusing on simulating these cavities using Sonnet Simulation Software. The study aims to validate the simulation accuracy by comparing results with experimental data, particularly for notch type resonators. After establishing simulation validity, the research explores the behavior of a inductance sensitive microwave setup chip with a superconducting graphene flake as a tunable inductance device connected to a reflection type resonator. This helps to understand how sensitive enough reflection resonators are to track modulation of the inductance of graphene flake, by detecting the resonance frequency variation of the resonator through simulations. The findings also indicate a strong correlation between simulation and experimental results.Description
