Abstract
The main objectives of this study were to find out which pricing model consumers prefer from the four options given for the smart thermostat solution. Also, what kind of behavioral and background variables in consumers affect this choice. A survey was conducted among consumers, aiming to find which pricing model they prefer from four given options. The first being one time purchase with bundle pricing, the second and third subscription options and the fourth a hybrid option with an admission fee and monthly subscription. Background factors of respondents were also inquired to explore which factors could affect the choice.
