Abstract
The objective of this thesis was to define a modular product structure for an X-ray device. In addition, manufacturing aspects of the product structuring were explored. Product development processes, product structure, modularity, manufacturing aspects of product structuring, and product structuring methods were researched for this thesis. The research found that determining an overall structure of the product is an essential part of the product development process and that manufacturing sets requirements on the module division, module independency and module interfaces. A new system structuring method and product structuring tools were created. In the case study, the new system structuring method and product structuring tools were successfully implemented to create a modular product structure for the X-ray device.Tämän diplomityön tarkoituksena oli määritellä modulaarinen tuoterakenne röntgenlaitteelle. Lisäksi tuoterakenteen määrittelyn tuotantonäkökulmaa selvitettiin. Tätä diplomityötä varten tutkittiin tuotekehitysprosesseja, tuoterakennetta, modulaarisuutta, tuoterakenteen tuotantonäkökulmaa ja menetelmiä tuoterakenteen luomiseen. Tutkimuksessa selvisi, että tuoterakenteen määrittely on tärkeä osa tuotekehitysprosessia, ja että tuotanto asettaa vaatimuksia moduulien jaolle, riippumattomuudelle ja rajapinnoille. Tuoterakenteen luomiseen kehitettiin uusi menetelmä. Tapaustutkimuksessa uutta tuoterakenteen luomisen menetelmää käytettiin onnistuneesti, ja lopputuloksena oli modulaarinen tuoterakenne röntgenlaitteelle.Description
