Abstract

Tässä työssä on rakennettu spektrografinen laitteisto, joka mahdollistaa materiaalin aktivaatiospektrin tutkimisen. Laitteisto koostuu valonlähteestä, spektrografista, UV-mittarista, lämpömittarista ja jäähdytysyksiköstä. Spektrografissa käytetään aberraatiokorjattua koveraa hilaa, jonka ulostulospektrin polttotaso muodostaa 1,5 cm korkean ja 20 cm pitkän suorakaiteen. Ulostulospektri muodostuu aallonpituuksista 250 nm - 500 nm. Valonlähteeenä käytetään 1 kW ksenonlamppua, jonka spektri UV-alueella on lähellä auringon spektriä. UV-detektori koostuu pii-fotodiodista, PTFE-levydiffuuserista, UV-suodattimesta ja virta-jännitemuuntimesta. Detektorilla mitataan spektrografista ulostulevan UV-säteilyn irradianssia, mikä mahdollistaa ksenonlampun vanhenemisen seuraamisen. Detektorin ja lämpötila-anturin mittaus suoritetaan tietokoneeseen liitettävällä DAQ-laitteella. Muunnos irradianssiksi ja lämpötilaksi tehdään Labview-ohjelmistolla. Spektrografista karakterisoitiin spektrinen irradianssi, kaistanleveys ja resiprookkinen lineaarinen dispersio. UV-detektorista mitattiin kosinivaste ja irradianssivaste neljällä aallonpituudella.

In this work a spectrographic device for obtaining materials' activation spectra was constructed. The device includes a light source, a spectrograph, a UV-meter, a temperature meter and a water circulator for cooling. The spectrograph is based on an aberration-corrected concave grating. Focal plane of the grating is 20 cm long and 1,5 cm in height. The focal plane consists of wavelengths from 250 nm to 500 nm. The light source is a 1-kW xenon lamp which has a spectrum close to solar spectrum. The UV-meter includes a silicon fotodiode, a PTFE planar diffuser, a UV filter and a current-to-voltage converter. The UV-meter is used to measure irradiance in the focal plane. These measurements can be used for obtaining information on ageing of the xenon lamp. Both the UV-meter and the temperature meter are controlled via USB-connected DAQ device. Labview software is used to read the DAQ device and to make calculations into irradiance and temperature. Spectral irradiance, bandwidth and reciprocal linear dispersion were characterized. UV-meter's cosine response and the irradiance response at four different wavelengths were measured.
