Abstract
The Aalto University schools of technology celebrated their second joint Ceremonial Conferment of Doctoral Degrees on 10 October 2014 . At the ceremony organised by the School of Chemical Technology, a doctoral degree was conferred upon altogether ten honorary doctors and 346 new doctors graduated from the schools of technology between 2012 and 2014. The Ceremonial Conferment of Doctoral Degrees in Technology has a long tradition in Finland. The year 2014 marks the 80th anniversary of the first Ceremonial Conferment of Doctoral Degrees in Technology in Finland.Aalto-yliopiston tekniikan korkeakoulut viettivät toista yhteistä juhlallista tohtoripromootiotaan 10.10.2014. Promootion järjesti Kemian tekniikan korkeakoulu. Tilaisuudessa promovoitiin kymmenen kunniatohtoria sekä 346 vuosina 2012–2014 tekniikan korkeakouluissa tohtorin tutkinnon suorittanutta uutta tohtoria. Tekniikan tohtoripromootioilla on Suomessa pitkät perinteet. Vuonna 2014 tulee kuluneeksi 80 vuotta ensimmäisestä tekniikan tohtoripromootiosta, joka järjestettiin vuonna 1934.De tekniska högskolorna vid Aalto-universitetet firade sin andra gemensamma solenna doktorspromotion 10.10.2014. Promotionen ordnades av Högskolan för Kemiteknik. Vid promotionen promoverades tio hedersdoktorer och 346 nya doktorer som avlagt sin doktorsexamen vid de tekniska högskolorna åren 2012–2014. De tekniska doktorspromotionerna bygger på en lång tradition i Finland. År 2014 har det gått 80 år sedan Finlands första tekniska doktorspromotion.Description
