Abstract
Rakennusteollisuuden tuottavuuden kehitys on ollut Suomessa huonoa. Ongelmaksi koetaan innovaatioiden sekä kehitys- ja tutkimustoiminnan vähyys. Tutkittaessa rakennusalan kehitystoimintaa YIT Oy:n sisäisillä haastatteluilla todettiin, että erääksi ongelmaksi miellettiin kehitysprojektien vaikutusten seuraamisen vaikeus. Tässä työssä esitetään menetelmä vaikuttavuuden mittareiden löytämistä varten. Menetelmä kehitettiin haastattelujen ja kirjallisuuden pohjalta, ja kehitettyä menetelmää testattiin yhdessä YIT Oy:n sisäisessä kehitysprojektissa. Tuloksena todetaan, että menetelmän avulla pystytään luomaan mittarit vaikuttavuuden seuraamista varten. Lisäksi tutkimuksessa kerättiin tietoa niistä tekijöistä, jotka mahdollistavat kehitysprojektin onnis-tumisen, ja mitkä ovat olleet läsnä onnistuneissa kehitysprojekteissa. Tuloksena todetaan, että kehitysprojektien vaikuttavuuden ymmärtäminen on avainasemassa rakennusteollisuuden kehitysprojektien tulevaisuuden kannalta. Johtuen rakennusalan tiukoista sidoksista rakennustyömaalla, täytyy kaikki kehitystoimet ja niiden vaikutukset miettiä tarkkaan. Kehitysprojekteissa mukana olevilla henkilöillä täytyy olla ymmärrys kaikista niistä tärkeistä työmaalla tapahtuvista tekijöistä, joihin kehitysprojektin tulokset aiheuttavat muutoksia. Kehitysprojekteissa mukana olevilla henkilöillä ei ole aikaisemmin ollut selkeää mallia, jolla vaikuttavuuden tuloksia voisi seurata ja mitata. Tämä työ pyrkii tarjoamaan kehitystyössä mukana oleville henkilöille mahdollisuuden pystyä seuraamaan niitä tekijöitä, joihin kehitysprojektilla on vaikutusta.Construction industry’s productivity has been poor in Finland. The problem has been ininnovations, as well as the lack of research. According YIT Oy's internal interviews, it was found that one of the problem was the perceived difficulty of monitoring the impact of development projects. In this paper a method is proposed for finding the effective impact indicators. The method was developed on the basis of interviews and literature, and the method developed was tested in one of YIT Oy's internal development project. As a result, it is argued that the method allows the creation of metrics for monitoring effectiveness. In addition, the survey collected information on the factors that enable the success of development projects, and what has been in the presence of successful development projects. As a result, it is argued that the understanding of the impact of development projects is in a key-role in the development of construction field in the future. Due to the building industry’s tight couplings in the construction site, all development actions and their effects must be looked very carefully. Those involved in the development project need to have an understanding of all the important events happening at the site resulting from the development project. There has not previously been a clear model of how the results of the impact could be monitored and measured. This work aims to provide people the possibility to be able to monitor the factors which are happening due to the development project.Description
