Abstract

This research presents and approach to measure contract compliance in Supply Chain using the Order Lead Time (OLT) as the parameter. The research defines the different types of OLT that can exist in the Supply Chain process and offers an option to calculate the Requested Order Lead Time commonly overlooked in the literature which represents the customer real needs on delivery time product terms. A summary compliance table using the Order Lead Time as the decision parameter was designed after the analysis of three real cases in the semiconductor industry and its implications to the business. This work suggests the implementation of Order Lead Time measurement as the solution to grade the level of contract compliance and new business models that can respond to the needs of the changing behavior in the world market.
