Abstract

The EU has set an energy efficiency target for industry companies for 2020. Due to this, a thorough energy analysis was performed for a Finnish production plant producing motors and generators. The main goals were to get an overall picture of the energy flow, to create a baseline and energy consumption prediction model, and to recognize the primary energy consumption variables. Energy data software Enerkey was used as the primary source of data. It was collected from the years 2016-2018 from all the main energy metering areas. Data were used to create an energy flow diagram of the production plant’s energy consumption. Additionally, a baseline was created for the production plant and sub-processes by using a vertical shift model with result adjustment methods. Area-specific energy analysis and cost calculations were also done for each sub-process area. The created energy flow diagram describes the energy consumption of the production area clearly. The error analysis that was done for the baseline and prediction model shows only a 2-10 % error in the models. Additionally, several variables related to energy consumption fluctuations were recognized. Results of this study are overall promising and create an excellent platform for future energy efficiency development.

EU on asettanut energiatehokkuustavoitteen teollisuusyrityksille vuodelle 2020. Tämän vuoksi suomalaiselle moottorien ja generaattorien tuotantolaitokselle tehtiin perinpohjainen energia-analyysi. Työn päätavoitteita olivat luoda selkeä kuva tuotannon energiavirtauksista, luoda energiankulutuksen perustaso- ja ennustemalli sekä tunnistaa pääasialliset energiankulutuksen muuttujat. Energiankulutuksen varastointijärjestelmä EnerKey:ta käytettiin tietojen pääasiallisena lähteenä. Aineisto kerättiin vuosilta 2016-2018 kaikilta päämittausalueilta. Aineiston avulla luotiin energiavirtauskaavio tuotantolaitoksen energiankulutuksesta. Lisäksi tuotantolaitokselle ja sen alaprosesseille luotiin perustasomalli käyttäen vertikaalisiirrosmallia. Jokaiselle alaprosessille suoritettiin lisäksi aluekohtaiset energia-analyysit ja kustannuslaskennat. Luotu energianvirtauskaavio kuvaa tuotantolaitoksen energiankulutusta erittäin selkeästi. Kulutukselle luotujen perustaso- ja ennustemallien virhe oli 2-10 % tehtyjen virhearvioiden mukaisesti. Lisäksi useita energiankulutukseen liittyviä muuttujia tunnistettiin. Kaiken kaikkiaan työn tulokset ovat erittäin lupaavia ja luovat loistavan pohjan tulevalle energiatehokkuuskehitykselle.
