dc.description.abstractAbstract: Heat transfer has been studied by simulating a turbulent flow over a flat plate using k- ε and k- ω turbulence models and testing the effect of a variable turbulent Prandtl number. The same case has also been calculated as isothermal in order to compare the calculated boundary layer parameters with measured results. Main result: Boundary layer parameters were close to the measured ones with the isothermal plate. In a case of turbulent flow heat transfer was underestimated as compared to the experimental correlation.en
