Circular supply chain management in EEE industry

Abstract

The amount of e-waste is still growing, and this trend is expected continue in the future. The research methodology used in this thesis is a literature review. In ad-dition to that a case study was conducted from a major EEE company. This study focuses to identify the factors that are causing the increase in e-waste and other factors that are currently influencing EEE industry such as e-waste legislation, varying needs of different stakeholders and costs related to e-waste. The main framework used in this study is CSCM and this study focuses on how principles of CSCM can be implemented in EEE industry. This study aims to answer the research question “How CSCM practices can reduce the e-waste in EEE industry?” To answer this question five strategies and methodologies for CSCM are presented in the thesis. To enhance CSCM in EEE industry these new strategies need to be implemented, otherwise the amount of e-waste continues to grow.
