dc.description.abstract | This literature review evaluates the application of digital twin technology (DTT) in improving road networks and traffic management. Digital twins are dynamic virtual models that mirror real-world entities and are updated in real-time with data from their physical counterparts. This study systematically examines peer-reviewed articles to explore the potential benefits of DTT in optimizing traffic flows. The findings suggest that DTT can significantly enhance traffic management and reduce congestion. However, cost-effectiveness and scalability are challenges that must be addressed in further research. | en |
