Abstract

Platform and sharing economy have disrupted businesses in traditional fields, most notably in accommodation and taxi service. This thesis focuses on finding limitations and critical functions for a peer-to-peer platform, and aims to list properties that the offered product must have. The goal of this thesis is to combine findings from different fields and find applicable principles for how a sharing platform should be for it to succeed.

Alusta- ja jakamistalous ovat mullistaneet perinteisiä toimialoja, erityisesti majoitus- ja taksipalveluissa. Tämä opinnäytetyö keskittyy vertaisalustan rajoitteiden ja kriittisten toimintojen tunnistamiseen sekä tavoittelee sellaisten ominaisuuksien listaamista, jotka tarjotulla tuotteella on oltava. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on yhdistää eri alojen havaintoja ja löytää sovellettavia periaatteita siitä, millainen jakamisalustan tulisi olla, jotta se voisi menestyä.
