Abstract

In this thesis piping material delivery is studied theoretically, basing the knowledge on several different source materials. In this literal study and research, basic features of piping and its components are examined. Also the different materials of piping systems are being examined and their characteristics are listed. Piping systems are manufactured according to different standards. These different standards and their differences are also being studied in this thesis. Also very often pressurized vessels are linked to the piping system. The regulations and rules within the EU about pressurized vessels are also noted in this thesis. In addition of theoretical analyzing and literal research, some areas of piping material delivery are researched with the goal of finding methods of optimizing it. This part of research mainly relies on the information of the company.s employees and its suppliers. These areas include the procurement, design systems and the price structure of piping systems and it.s correlation with the raw materials used. This part also gathers the research together connecting the theoretical study and the practical part which has been studied with information gathered from the company. In the fourth part some key learnings are discovered and recommendations are given.

Tässä diplomityössä tutkittiin putkistomateriaalien toimitusten optimointia. Ensimmäisessä osassa toimitusten optimointia tutkittiin teoreettisesti eri lähdemateriaalien avulla. Tässä kirjallisuuteen perustuvassa osassa tutkittiin erinäisiä perusasioita putkistoihin liittyen. Eri materiaalit jotka liittyvät putkistoihin sisältyvät myös tähän osaan. Putkistot rakennetaan tiettyjen standardien mukaisesti. Nämä eri standardit ja niiden erot on selvitetty tässä työssä. Usein myös putkistoihin liittyy paine-astioita. Euroopan Unionin mukaiset lait ja säädökset on myös huomioitu tässä diplomityössä. Teoreettisen, kirjallisuuteen perustuvan tutkimuksen lisäksi, joitain putkistomateriaalien toimitukseen liittyviä osa-alueita tutkittiin. Tämä tutkimus tehtiin, jotta voitaisiin löytää siihen liittyviä optimointi mahdollisuuksia. Tämä osa diplomityötä tukeutui Andritz Oy: n työntekijöiden ja heidän toimittajien informaation ja tietoon. Näihin tutkittuihin osa-alueisiin kuuluu hankinta ja ostotoiminta, suunnittelujärjestelmä ja putkiston hintarakenne ja sen korrelaation raaka-aineen hintaan nähden. Tämä tutkimuksen osuus myös kokoaa tutkimuksen yhteen yhdistämällä teorian ja käytännön tutkimuksen, joka tehtiin Andritz Oy: n tietoihin perustuen. Viimeisessä osassa tärkeimpiä tutkimuksen tuloksia käydään läpi ja annetaan suosituksia.
