Abstract

The thesis can be divided into three parts, out of which the emphasis is on the first two: the history of Kimo ironworks seen from the architectural point of view and the restoration plan for the old barn. The thesis also includes a shorter part in which a plan for the rearrangement of the ironworks museum, located in the abovementioned barn, is suggested.

Diplomityö on jaettavissa kolmeen eri osa-alueeseen, joista pääpaino on kahdella ensimmäisellä: Kimon ruukin historian selvittämisessä erityisesti arkkitehtuurin näkökulmasta sekä ruukin viljamakasiinin korjaussuunnitelmassa. Työhön sisältyy myös pienempi osuus, jossa esitetään uutta järjestelyä makasiinissa toimivalle ruukkimuseolle.
