Abstract
The thesis focuses on the efficiency of the production processes of medicinal mushrooms to respond to the strong increased demand pressure on the fungiproduct market. The aim is to identify the most significant problems of the four main processes of production, which slow down the efficiency of the whole production. By identifying problem areas, it is also possible to find solutions to support the planning of upscale for mushroom extract production for the future. The manufacturing process from fresh mushrooms to mushroom extract occurs linearly from the process to the following. The slowest process forms a bottleneck for the entire production. The work was to investigate the capacities of efficiency of different processes to analyze them to each other. All processes have problems that slow down the production efficiency were found, and possible alternative solutions were found. The possible solutions will be supported by the studies that have promising results in recent years. This thesis work found that current production has the potential to find more efficiency by optimizing and modifying the current processes.
Diplomityö käsittelee lääkinnällisistä sienistä saatavan uutteen
valmistusprosessien tehostamista, jotta pystytään vastaamaan markkinoiden vahvaan kasvaneeseen kysyntäpaineeseen. Tavoitteena on tunnistaa tuotannon neljän pääprosessin merkittävimmät ongelmakohdat, jotka jarruttavat tuotannon tehokkuutta. Tunnistamalla ongelmakohdat on mahdollista löytää myös ratkaisuja niihin tukemaan sieniuutetuotannon ylösskaalauksen suunnittelua tulevaisuutta varten. Valmistusprosessi tuoreista sienistä sieniuutteeksi tapahtuu lineaarisesti prosessista seuraavaan, jonka seurauksena hitain prosessi muodostaa pullonkaulan koko tuotannolle. Työssä selvitettiin eri prosessien kapasiteetit, jotta eri prosessien tehokkuuksia pystyttiin arvioimaan keskenään. Jokaisesta prosessista löydettiin tuotannon tehokkuutta hidastavia ongelmia, ja niihin löydettiin myös mahdollisia vaihtoehtoja ratkaisuksi. Mahdollisten ratkaisujen tukena hyödynnetään tutkimuksia, joilla on saatu lupaavia tuloksia viime vuosien aikana. Tällä tutkimuksella havaittiin, että nykyisellä tuotannolla on potentiaalia löytää tehokkuutta lisää optimoimalla nykyisiä prosesseja, sekä modifoimalla nykyisten prosessien menetelmiä.
