Abstract
We investigate the effect of magneto-mechanical and magnetocrystalline anisotropies in a test application by coupling a multiscale magneto-mechanical model with a finite element method. This first application is composed of a cylindrical conductor surrounded by a ring composed of a non-oriented FeSi 3 % steel sheet which contains 396 representative grain orientations. Such an application can reveal the anisotropy due to the texture of the material by inducing a rotational flux density within the ring. Moreover, the effect of the texture and the magneto-mechanical characteristic of the steel sheets is analyzed in an axially laminated synchronous reluctance machine. The effect of stress strongly emphasizes the anisotropic behavior of NO steel sheets.Description
