Abstract
A short range radio for wireless network application is designed in this thesis. The short range radio's structure is mainly composed by Microcontroller MSP430F1611 and Radio Transceiver TDA5250. Microcontroller work as a master and Radio as a slave. Microcontroller configure Radio transceiver's function through I2C bus. Data Transmission between Microcontroller and Radio is based on the UART hardware functional module. Radio signal transmission was in FSK mode. A test platform for testing BER performance is set up. Receiver's Sensitivity and BER performance is measured. The design was tested and verified in the test platform.
