Abstract
Lopputyöni "Sisäpiha" käsittelee elokuvan ja valokuvan yhdistämisen haastavaa kysymystä. Elokuva mielletään usein kerronnalliselta voimaltaan valokuvasarjaa suuremmaksi. Valokuva taas pysähtyneenä hetkenä avautuu katsojan omille tulkinnoille elokuvaa enemmän. Onko mahdollista luoda teos, joka sijoittuu valokuvasarjan ja elokuvan välille ja hyödyntää kummankin muodon vahvuudet?My work "Inside Yard" is pondering over the dilemma of combining a film and photography. The film is usually considered to have more narrative power than a photography series does, whereas the latter one is in its stillness more opened to viewer's own interpretation. Is it possible to create a body of work which lies between the photographic series and narrative film exploiting the strength of both?"Inregården" behandlar frågan om kombinationen av film och fotografi. Film ses ofta som mer narrativ i jämförelse med fotoserie. En fotoserie istället är mer öppen för interpretation. Skulle det vara möjligt att skapa ett verk som befinner sig mellan en film och en fotoserie och som undersöker de styrka sidorna från båda medium?Description
