Abstract
Objectives The main objectives of this study were to explore and compare the attitudes of Vietnamese and Finnish undergraduate business students toward women as managers. In addition, possible gender differences in attitudes were examined. Summary A cross-cultural study between Vietnam and Finland was performed to examine and compare attitudes toward female managers. Quantitative data was obtained through a questionnaire. The implications of this study for international business were also discussed. Conclusions Three main findings from this study can be identified. First, Vietnamese and Finnish students have similar attitudes toward women as managers. Second, female and male students also hold similar attitudes of female leaders. Third, perceptions of women in leadership positions are significantly affected by the nationality and gender of the individual.Description
