Abstract
The resurgence of wind-assisted ships through the eye of climate change brings the need for modelling techniques to study the effects of the integration of wind powered propulsion systems on current and future ships. The new perspectives brought to modelling by wind assisted ships are discussed along with the current state of models. Sail-to-sail interaction effects are seen to be the next focus in model development.
