Abstract
The thesis is a round up of two years spent developing my short film called Asatiani for ReAnima joint masters program. The focus is put on childhood experiences and is a small homage to the city I grew up in. In the thesis I will go into detail about the setting of the film, as they are real places or places that were real at some point, I gathered information about them through storytelling, national archives, or my own memories. I will also describe the early process of what I wanted from this project, how my goals changed along the way, and how the final version of the script as well as the visual aspect came to be. Characters of the film will also be discussed in detail, along with the inspirations they came from, and a first time personal meeting of one of the inspirations is, as well, described in great detail. In general, that was the main research method used for the film, actually talking to people who had spent time in or around this hospital.
