Abstract
A cluster of four rhodium or silver spins interacting with their nearest and next-nearest neighbors is investigated. Randomly generated spin configurations are employed to calculate the density of states N(E) and the entropy S(E)lnN(E). The second law of thermodynamics, T=dE/dS, allows the determination of the entropy as a function of temperature. As in recent experimental data, the calculated S(T) is bigger for positive than for negative spin temperatures.Description
