Abstract
This study was performed at the sportech incubator in Paris 75016 at Footbar in the product team. The purpose of this work is to study the principle of product development, the strategies to be put in place for a logical, coherent, and strategic development of the product for a startUp whose product embodies the survival or the company. To do so, I have described the general process of product development first, which had never been done before at Footbar. This was very useful for the writing of my master thesis on the one hand, but on the other hand, it allowed the company to develop its knowledge in this area and thus have a real reflection, structured, oriented towards the product. After that I focused on the products we have at Footbar in order to understand how each product works, what its history is, in order to be able to adopt the best strategy for the development of the new production. Being very committed to the ecological transition, I also decided to spend time to study the different sustainable initiatives implemented in the industry and more specifically at Footbar. After describing and analyzing each version of the products, I applied the methods I was taught to find the best directions for development. The user's point of view is essential and must be integrated in each of our reflections. KPIs (key performance indicators) are also a wonderful tool for analyzing your business and making data-driven decisions. These methods were the bases on which I relied during these 6 months for the development of the new production. Finally, the results of my work were exposed to the product team and the business team, to see if the results were meeting the expectancies. The results were always challenged by the managers, you must explain why you take these decisions for the product, why you didn’t use another method. It is almost impossible to convince the team 100% but this exercise is essential and very formative for the future.Description
