Abstract
Objectives The purpose of this thesis is to examine the possibility of certain influences semantics priming may have on the how people perceive different variables of diversity. From this basis, it suggests that semantics priming can be a useful tool for organizations to incorporate into their diversity management strategies. Summary An experiment was conceived and conducted four times in order to gather insights into how participants view different diversity factors. The data was first collected in qualitative form from a pool of 20 participants and then translated into a quantitative approach to produce conclusive findings. Conclusions The experiment proved that there was an observable influence on the participants’ perception of diversity. Although there were limitations to the methodology, it still produced a reasonable conclusion that semantics played a role in affecting people’s opinions on diversity factors.Description
