Abstract

Työni keskittyy ns. ”elävien maalausten/kuvitusten” luontiin, animointiin ja tunnelman ilmentämisen ja vahvistamisen erilaisiin tekniikoihin, aihealueena suomalaisen mytologian ja luonnonuskon jumalhahmot ja henget. Kirjallisessa osiossani käyn koko luomisprosessin läpi aina luonnosteluvaiheesta, aiheen valikoitumisesta ja inspiraation lähteistä, aina näyttely installaation pystyttämiseen. Teemojani ovat vanhan ja uuden yhdistäminen, After Effects ohjelman käyttö hyödyntämässä mm. konseptitaidetta, sekä tunnelman luominen animaation keinoin.

My work focuses on the creating ”living paintings/illustrations”, animating and various techniques for expressing and amplifying the atmosphere, focusing on the deities and spirits of Finnish mythology and natural belief. In my written section, I go through the entire creation process, from the sketching stage, the selection of the subject and sources of inspiration, to the construction of the installation in the exhibition. My themes are combining old and new, using After Effects to utilise concept art, and creating atmosphere through animation.
