Abstract
This thesis presents a thorough investigation into the elements that are critical for the success of user training and the adoption of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Businesses see the necessity to update their systems to stay competitive in the constantly evolving market. There is a significant risk in starting these kinds of implementation projects so it is important to find the factors that could lead to project success or failure. The goal of this thesis is to determine what are the main factors impacting the effectiveness of user training and adoption in ERP system implementations. It also aims to find out, how different training methods affect user adoption and what are the challenges faced by employees in adopting a new ERP. Quantitative research in the form of a survey in a case company, Company A, and a literature review was conducted to reach the research objectives. The survey research crossexamines the theoretical underpinnings, such as the technology acceptance model (TAM) and social cognitive theory, with the empirical realities observed in an organizational setting. It examines how management engagement levels and individualized training strategies can have a big impact on how well ERP systems integrate into daily operations. The study identifies particular issues that restrict adoption, like user reluctance and system complexity, and suggests ways to get around them. The results add to the existing information and studies by supporting and expanding upon the ideas already established regarding the adoption of technology and by offering specific, advice to those working in the ERP implementation field. In order to bridge the gap between academic research and practical application, this thesis provides insights that should enhance the efficacy of ERP system adoption and training initiatives in a variety of organizational settings.Description
