Abstract

This thesis studies the design of a production line, intended to replace existing production line(s) and enabling the production of a new product: Product A. The thesis covers the environment and the proposed design of the new production line. Additionally, the thesis then further highlights the new Product A by covering the known characteristics and behaviour during production of the product. Next, the different new required stages in the production line that is needed to successfully produce the covered product is presented. Mixing and Storage is first brought up from the production step to deliver the specifications and requirements of the production step. Next, the cooling down method of the bottles, which takes place after the extraction step, and before the capping of said bottles. This step is presented by the different potential solutions available with addition to different operation methods that can be utilized during this manufacturing step. This thesis then discusses the results as well as the found limitations of said results. This work results in a completed project line proposal, that allows for the project to continue after the thesis work. A production line model was proposed to the projects production line supplier and further work was proposed to ensure and validate the production of Product A

Detta arbete studerar designen av en ny productionslinje, ämnad för att ersätta nuvarandeprduktionslinje(r) och möjliggör productionen av en ny produkt: Product A Arbetet omfattar miljön och det föreslagna designen av en ny productionslinje. Dessutom belyses den nya producten Product A ytterligare i arbetet genom omfattning av produktens egenskaper samt beteende genom produktionen av sagda ämne. Sedan presenterades de olika nya produktions stegen nödvändiga för framställning av Product A. Först presenterades blandnings- och lagringssteget där de olika nödvändiga egenskaperna och specificationerna togs upp som är kritiska för att möjliggöra framställnings skedet. Till näst presenterades nerkylnings metoderna av burkarna, vilket är steget efter att Product A har fyllts i burkar, och före sagda burkar sluts med ett lock i försäglings skedet. Detta skede presenterade olika nerkylningsmetoder som är kommersiellt tillgängliga tillsammans med operationsmetoder som kan användas i detta frammställnings skede. Arbetet tar sedan upp resultaten och diskuterar dem tillsammans med i projekte funna begränsningar. Detta arbeted resulterade i ett färdigt produktions linjes förslag som möjliggör projektet att fortsätta efter detta arbete. En modell av produktions linjen föreslogs åt projektets leverantör och ytterligare forskning och arbete förslogs för att säkerställa samt att bekräfta framställningen av Product A.
