Digitalisaation tuomat mahdollisuudet sähköverkkoprojekteissa

Abstract

Diplomityössä tutkittiin Carunan investointiprojektien nykyprosessia ja pyrittiin tunnistamaan prosessin osia, joita digitalisoimalla projektiprosessia saataisiin tehostettua. Diplomityössä tavoitteena oli saada selvitystyö mahdollisista digitalisoitavista kohteista tehtyä ja löydösten pohjalta on tarkoitus alkaa digitalisoimaan kohteita erillisessä projektissa.

Investointiprojektien nykyprosessi kartoitettiin sidosryhmähaastatteluiden, työpajan sekä yhteistyöpalavereiden avulla. Carunan investointiprojekteihin olennaisesti liittyvät sidosryhmien sekä projektinvalvonnan prosessit selvitettiin sidosryhmähaastatteluiden avulla. Projektien parissa työskenteleville urakoitsijoille pidettiin työpaja, jonka tarkoituksena oli selvittää mitä kehitystä urakoitsijoiden puolella tehdään digitalisaatioon liittyen sekä esitellä Carunan tärkeimpiä tulevia kehitysprojekteja. Palveluntarjoajien kanssa pidettiin palavereita, joissa käytiin läpi järjestelmiin tulevia muutoksia sekä Carunan tulevaisuuden tarpeet.

Diplomityön aikana tunnistettiin useita eri kohteita, joita digitalisoimalla Carunan investointiprojektiprosessia saataisiin tehostettua. Osa kehityskohteista vaatii sekä Carunalta että palveluntuottajalta runsaasti kehitystyötä, mutta joitakin kohteita saataisiin tehtyä vähäisellä kehitystyöllä. Diplomityössä laskettiin takaisinmaksuajat digitalisointi-investoinneille ja luvussa 8 on annettu suositukset Carunalle digitalisoinnin hyödyntämiseksi projektiprosessin tehostamiseksi.

Intention of this master's thesis was to study Caruna's investment project process and to identify parts of the process that could be made more efficient by digitizing them. The goal of the thesis was to define the possible parts that could be digitized, and the purpose is that the actual digitizing based on the findings will be done in a separate project.

The current state of the investment project process was mapped by interviews, meetings and a workshop. Interviews were organized to understand the needs and processes of the investment project stakeholders and the project supervisors. Workshop was held for the contractors working on the projects. The purpose of the workshop was to find out what kind of development is being done on the contractor side concerning the digitization of the project process and to introduce the most important future development projects of Caruna to the contractors. Meetings were held with the service providers to go through the future changes in the used systems and software and to map the future needs of Caruna.

Many parts of the investment project process were identified in this master's thesis, where digitizing would improve the efficiency of the process. Some changes will require a lot of development work from both Caruna and the service provider, but some changes will be smaller and easier to implement. Return of the investments for all the proposed changes are calculated in this thesis and recommendations for Caruna are presented in paragraph 8.
