Abstract
Ambient Backscatter Communication (AmBC) is a low-power wireless communication technology that utilizes existing radio frequency (RF) signals to transmit data. The research of this thesis aims investigates the feasibility of applying AmBC for indoor localization. The research of this thesis aims to measurement in an AmBC system to that utilizes unique sequence signals transmitted by multiple backscatter devices and estimates the signal source location through correlation analysis with the received signal. The proposed system is validated through measurements in a real indoor corridor scenario. The results demonstrate that AmBC signals can be successfully detected and correlated with the received signal, proving the potential of AmBC for indoor localization.
