Abstract
In a service oriented company, people are the most important resource. For the company to be successful the right people need to be assigned to projects. This thesis will focus on analyzing the project resourcing workflow for a highly dynamic and lean company. Based on the resourcing model further analysis is made on interesting problem areas. Possible solutions to alleviate problem areas are evaluated.
The thesis focuses on finding solutions to improve how people with the correct competence are found using a competence database, and also how to track loaning resources between teams. The competence database evaluated is based on a SaaS product while the resource loan tracking tool is created as part of this thesis. In both cases, the main requirement s that they are easy to use and till the need of the company without bringing extra overhead. By being easy to use and simple the aim is to get quick adoption by the organization.
Palveluyrityksille ihmiset ovat usein tärkein resurssi. Jotta yritys menestyisi oikeat ihmiset pitää olla käytössä projekteissa. Tämän diplomityön fokus on projektiresursointi ketterässä ja dynaamisessa ympäristössä. Resursointimallin perusteella pari suurinta ongelmakohtaa analysoidaan syvemmin. Mahdollisia ratkaisuja ongelmiin evaluoidaan tarkoituksena löytää sopivia keinoja parantaa projektien resursointia.
Diplomityössä käsitellään miten löytää sopivaa osaamista omaavat henkilöt osaamistietokannan avulla sekä miten voi seurata henkilöiden lainausta eri tiimien välillä. Osaamistietokanta on valmis palvelu kun taas lainaustyökalu rakennetaan osana tätä diplomityötä. Molemmissa tapauksissa päävaatimus on että ratkaisu on helppokäyttöinen ja täyttää yrityksen tarpeet hyvin ilman että tuo lisää vaativuutta prosesseihin. Tarkoitus on että hyvä käytettävyys nopeuttaa ratkaisujen omaksumista organisaatiossa.
