The model of ecosystem is widely used both in the research literature as well as in the business environment. However, as the model is different in each domain, the notion of ecosystem has become scattered. The main goal of this study was to create high-level model based on business ecosystem model that can be applicable in various domains. This thesis has demonstrated advantages for adopting this model in comparison to other network models. In addition, the thesis has provided rationale to use business ecosystem as a base model for other ecosystem types This thesis has assembled the structure of ecosystem that al- lows to utilize the model in various domains. This structure defines members, their roles in the ecosystem, and relationships between ecosystem actors. Moreover, this thesis demonstrates practices of using cooperation and coopetition in the model. In addition, it determines an approach to form an economically sustainable ecosystem and to adopt the service-dominant logic in the model. Finally, this study provides the means to consider end users and customers as members of the ecosystem through co-creation. The result of this thesis provides a high-level ecosystem model as a basis for future studies.en
