| dc.description.abstract | This master's thesis examines the point where cultural sensitivity and digital innovation intersect in crisis management specifically in the Finnish context. The paper recognises the growing intricacy of contemporary crises, encompassing economic recessions, health pandemics, technological disruptions, and environmental catastrophes, and emphasises the necessity for comprehensive management strategies. Finnish managers, operating in a highly digitalised society that prioritises resilience and collective well-being, provide valuable perspectives on incorporating cultural and digital aspects to strengthen organisational resilience. The study employs a social constructivist viewpoint, emphasising the influence of social interactions and cultural contexts on crisis management practices. The thesis conducts a qualitative analysis to investigate how Finnish managers effectively respond to various crises by integrating digital tools, including predictive analytics, telehealth services, and cybersecurity measures, in conjunction with cultural competencies. The results indicate that combining digital tools with a profound comprehension of cultural subtleties is essential for preserving stakeholder confidence and guaranteeing efficient communication in times of crises. This thesis enhances the existing body of knowledge on crisis management by presenting a thorough framework that highlights the significance of integrating culture and digital technology. The text provides concrete suggestions for improving crisis management strategies, specifically targeting Finnish managers, while also having broader implications for global practices. The study emphasises the need for flexible, culturally aware, and technologically savvy crisis management strategies to effectively address the interconnected challenges of the modern world. | en |
