Abstract
In this master thesis, the impact of the supply chain and of the data sourcing on the environmental impact of a solar panel is studied. The study is based on a Life Cycle Analysis from cradle to grave of a monocrystalline solar panel conducted with the software SimaPro. It shows that most of the impact comes from the manufacturing of the solar panel, especially from polysilicon and cell production. It also demonstrates that the use of default value increases the results of the Life Cycle Analysis and that the supply chain can highly impact the outcome of the analysis.Description
