dc.description.abstractThis thesis explores the influence of Management Control Systems on employee motivation and the factors influencing this relationship. The thesis examines the elements of management control systems, motivational theories such as Self-Determination Theory, and practical findings from case studies. Findings highlight the importance of aligning management control systems and motivation within organizational contexts. The thesis concludes the importance of integrating management control systems that support employee autonomy, competence, and relatedness to enhance the motivation and performance of employees in organizations. By understanding and addressing these factors, organizations can create a positive and productive work environment for their employees, while maintaining strategically set targets.en
