Abstract
This study investigates the feasibility of hand gesture recognition independent of the user position using Wi-Fi channel state information (CSI) obtained from a smartphone carried by a user. In this paper, we investigate the effectiveness of the component corresponding to the velocity of hand movements extracted from CSI for gesture recognition.
