Abstract
Taiteen maisterin opinnäytetyössä tutkin poeettista tilaa sinisen etäisyyden käsitteen kautta. Sininen – Etäisyys käsittelee välimatkan ja saavuttamisen välillä tapahtuvaa halun jännitettä ja sinisyyden ulottumista väriä pidemmälle poeettisen tilallisuuden näkökulmasta. Opinnäytetyö koostuu kahdesta osasta: kirjallisesta tutkimuksesta sekä taiteellisesta työskentelystä kaksiosaisen taitelijakirjan parissa, jossa tarkastellaan sanallisen ja kuvallisen ilmaisun merkitystä poeettisen tilan muodostumisessa. Tutkimus perehtyy tilallisuuteen sisäisenä ja ulkoisena tapahtumana sinisen etäisyyden käsitteen kautta sen tieteellisessä määritelmässä sekä emotionaalisena ja poeettisena tilana.
This master's thesis examines poetic space through the concept of blue of a distance. Blue – distance delves into the spatial tension of desire and the reach of blueness beyond colour through the viewpoint of poetic space. The thesis consists of two parts: the research and the practice-led artistic component in the form of an artists book. The research examines the role and differences of verbal and visual expression in the formation of poetic space. The research explores spatiality as an internal and external event through the concept of blue of a distance in its scientific definition and as an emotional and poetic space.
