Abstract
Immigrants are now an important component of the today’s diverse workforce, which vitalises the role of human resources, management (HRM) in concerning their interests and well-being. First, this study aims to provide a perspective on some underlying dynamics of the social integration of immigrant workers in the workplace, using the concept of social capital with “Bonds”, “Bridges”, “Links”. Second, this study aims to examine how the social capital affect the social integration of immigrant employees, and its implications on sustainable HRM practices. Third, this study aims to build a multi-disciplinary intersection between the studies of immigration, HRM, and corporate social responsibility (CSR). A qualitative research into the Vietnamese healthcare workers in Finland will unveil how this study meets its research objectives.Description
