Abstract
This thesis examines the relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and economic growth through a comprehensive review of theoretical frameworks and economic models. The analysis reveals that AI influences economic through multiple channels, including productivity enhancement, innovation generation, and task creation. The findings indicate that AI’s impact on growth critically depends on whether it primarily serves as a complement to or substitute for human labor. The analysis suggests that realizing AI’s potential for driving economic growth requires careful attention to human capital development, institutional frameworks, and policies that promote the creation of new tasks where humans maintain comparative advantage.
