Abstract

The development of AI algorithms has taken leaps forward in the past few years and AI is expected to have a huge impact on both our lives and the societies we live in. The public healthcare system in Finland is in crisis and there is a great need for solutions. AI might play a crucial part in counterbalancing our burdened healthcare systems. The objective of this research is to determine how AI could be used in Clinical Decision Support Systems in healthcare in Finland and what are the most important factors to consider when implementing AI-based tools into our healthcare system.

Viimeisen vuosikymmenen aikana tekoälyn kehitys on ottanut suuria askelia eteenpäin. Tekoäly tulee vaikuttamaan valtavasti meidän henkilökohtaiseen elämäämme ja ympäröivään yhteiskuntaan. Suomen terveydenhuoltojärjestelmä on kriisissä nousevien kustannusten sekä kroonisen rahoitusvajeen takia. Tämän kriisin ratkaisun ytimessä voi olla tekoälypohjaiset ratkaisut. Tämä tutkimus keskittyy tekoälyn hyödyntämiseen kliinisen päätöksenteon tukijärjestelmissä (CDSS) Suomen terveydenhuollossa. Tämän lisäksi tutkimus selvittää asioita, jotka rajoittavat tekoälyn käyttöönottoa.
